Truth or Dare

To a group of 25 Lebanese and Syrian youth, the Syrian film maker Wael Kadlo and I gave a series of workshops on making short videos. We had different sessions to explain and explore with the group the relationship of image and sound, the mechanisms of communicating a message, a story or a feeling through video. Then we created frames for the group to come up with a common theme to individually explore in a short video.

Hanadi is 19 years old. She studies nursing in Baalbeck, north Lebanon.
We worked together on finding a form to express an event in her life that has deeply marked her; the loss of her best friend, who went from Lebanon to fight in the war in Syria.
